It's great that you're trying. We should look to what our ancestors did before they were enslaved into the system. Then, move forward in the right mindset.

I'm in my mid 40s and I have lived the "figuring it out" path, and basically I have nothing and my retirement plan is sell all my stuff and then a dirt nap, BUT, I have enjoyed periods of my life far more than I ever enjoyed the rat race. Working for the man is the worst. I appreciate this video.

The system does work! It's SNAFU. It just doesn't work for you.

@@Bees-are-awsome

We're NOT outnumbered, we're out organized. Most people have too much ego and selfishness—this allows the masses to be exploited.

See Peter Joseph and The New Human Rights Movement, Zeitgeist films and Revolution Now podcast.

Sure, you can go minimalist in your personal life, no problem there, but the US capitalist empire will keep destroying the Earth for profit as a mad machine unless the people create a new parallel system, based not on money but mutual aid and time bank exchanges.

Even if you go off on your own, the effects of climate chaos and war will span the globe, almost nobody is safe. And the tech billionaires know it. They are planning to get bunkers and guards and literally try to leave the Earth on rocket ships.

If we at least TRY to build a new system, locally, with others, and SEE, just SEE how far we can get to post-capitalist, post-monetary abundance, at least we can say we tried and didn't roll over a die, didn't run away and didn't give up.

@@regineb.4756

„Them“ like in „it is everyone else’s fault“. Insurances? The government? Companies? And what about friends, neighbors and family members working for them, founding businesses themselves? These institutions have all innate goals because of their purpose. Once you try to set up a business, you automatically become one of ‚them‘. Oh, and you are not the first with the idea to exploit the ‚system‘: corruption follows, self-serving behavior harms those who rely on civil life that will be corrupted by your revolutionary idea. Venezuela and South Africa are great examples.

This is, in many ways, capitalism at work. Yet as I listened, my attention drifted to the trees, the river, and the mountain. The tree bends with the wind because it has no choice; the human bends or stands tall because they decide to. Even within the system, choice still belongs to those who recognize their true nature.

@@Youtube-Channel1

We talk about freedom without knowing what it means. We cannot escape the matrix (system) since we need to consume the essentials for survival. Freedom is about having more options and time. It’s never been about working hard. It’s always been about being smarter: don’t consume the unnecessary, watch out for scams, watch out for junk food, etc

All businesses and religions exploit your weaknesses and that is how they take your money (freedom, energy, choices) from you. Be smarter with your choices. Once you see the perspective that the world is trying to trick you, you start to see it and now you get to be smarter with your choices.

GEEZ sounds like an abusive relationship with a sociopath FFS… I guess it is 😢
Slavery is a good analogy, because debt and work is just a new form of it. Did you hear, they’re bringing back indentured servitude! Employers pay for your training, but if you quit, you gotta pay it all back, so you have to stay to pay it off before you can leave… and they make sure to conceal that caveat before you sign on so you unwittingly trap yourself. Good times!

Its wild to me the elites fought so hard to found a free country built on slavery, then realizing the social toll, fought among themselves to end slavery, finally to just turn around and enslave everyone. 😢

Sometimes I make a little money Sometimes not. I always gad to spend money. I also wasted money on food that doesn't help or beer, cannabis and cigarettes. That's something that was always a detrimental. Whether it was stuff I knew was unhealthy like soda and candy as a kid or things I thought was healthy like low fat high fiber plant based "food" products. It took a long time but now at least I have this to share. I only eat meat, eggs, cheese, salt and butter. I drink water, tea or coffee. Yeah I need to eventually stop the coffee. But I never felt so healthy and stronh.instead of chasing mood altering substances like exogenous phytocannabinoids, ethanol and nicotine, I found out how to apply the Wim Hof Method. I can release my own endocannabinoids and epinephrine with a breathing exercise and cold exposure. It us a clean pure high that doesn't cost me money or slow me down.I recommend the carnivore diet and Wim Hof Method. We could find the system will collapse if just 30% of us did that. Big Ag and Big Pfarma need us yo keep buying the same toxic tops and popping the same pills.

This is the truth. What are we going to do if we retire at 67? Can't surf or skate anymore you will break a hip. Some of us might not live that long. We have to have fun while we still can. This issue is even worse in South Korea and Japan where 60-80 hour work weeks are the norm. They don't have time to do anything else besides work. It's so bad some people collapse and die in the office. We are able to see through the illusion the elite magicians have pulled on us.

" Maximilien Robespierre, 1793, Paris.

“The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy.”

“You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it.” – Morpheus

@@LaurenG814

With this mentality, the system will keep chopping heads off, now we just hope the system doesn't chop OUR heads off cause we "escaped it".
Our time is better spent advocating for a large scale revolutionary change to the system that enables freedom for everyone right now, and everyone that comes after us. Cause you're assuming that the system will NEVER be changed when it can. It will never be perfect, but it can be changed and to not think that is abysmal at best. Advocating to just avoid it does nothing for people but give them an delusion of freedom while a broken system persists...

@@MrSlikvee

If EVERYONE just “did what they WANTED to do,” very little would wind up being done…unless, instead of that happening, everyone donated at least a portion of their time (certainly not a minimum of 8 hours per day) to a particular job/task/project, etc. that was organized, well structured and had a particular purpose,
things may be quite a bit different.
I certainly don’t know what would work 100% of the time but the Jewish Kibbutz community seems to work well as an example. There has GOT to be a better way! We’re all just slaves to the world and we’re getting overpopulated and angry with the world…this can’t lead to good things.

@@jj_honeyqueen734

Great points made!

Also while working within the system it’s important to have resources that operate outside and in resistance to the systems. Stashing is a great way to start, but it still relies on the system for resources/survival.

It can start with analyzing our true desire. Thinking within a system it can look like “I want to make a million dollars” why though? And perhaps when you go deeper it can be “I want to feel safe financially” and that desire can be ACHIEVED, but maybe it’s not through making a million dollars.

The more we can create and exist outside capitalistic desires the less you rely on the system. Start small: grow Some herbs/veggies in pots on your porch, host a small gathering of people you can enjoy time together with, think twice before you purchase something on Amazon whether you really need it or not… it’s going to be uncomfortable at first because you are actively in resistance to the mainstream operating system. We got this everyone!

Thanks for sharing and sparking thoughts and convo!

I’m 59. In 1984, before I even graduated HS, credit card companies were sending cards with low limits.
I didn’t even have a job, a home of my own, or a car.
I threw them away.
I didn’t go straight into college, I couldn’t imagine owing that much money.
When I went to buy a car, I got a cheap used one, paid cash that I’d saved.

I was told when I was young that “renting is like throwing money out of your window every month, you’re paying for a building you will never own. But I couldn’t imagine owing a hundred thousand dollars, so I rented.

I was a young single mom making nearly nothing, but we managed.

Now, I’m free. I work part time, but I pick the days and hours.

My best advice to young people is
Don’t get credit cards for purchases, only use them if you have the money to pay for the item, and you can use them to build credit if you want to go that route, but use them responsibly so they don’t trap you.

College isn’t everything it used to be. Unless you are going to be in the medical field, law, or science, you can probably get by without college.
If you do choose college debt, cheap schools, or online courses can be paid for as you go, without the debt.
It seems, if you go to college, you’re paying for the Experience of college, frats, sororities, drinking, etc. Hundreds of thousands of dollars is a lot to pay for a social life.

Also, only buy what you Need. Don’t buy the new bath towels because you’re tired of blue, or a car because it has some option your old car doesn’t have. Don’t buy new clothes unless the old ones are falling off, etc.
these small purchases are the breadcrumbs leading to the trap.
