The reason why Goldens have so much fur is because of their double coat. Goldens have double coats because they were bred to catch foul in rivers so it basically acts as a built in wetsuit to keep them warm in cold waters. You have to make sure to dry them thoroughly because all of that fur could hide extra water or shampoo and cause the dog to have hot spots which can irritate the skin. You’ve also got to check the ears. Because of their large, floppy ears, they can easily trap water, which then leads to ear infections which can also irritate them. And you don’t want the golden boy to have any of them because he’s already allergic to most things which also irritate his skin. But, you’re welcome for the answer! And also, I’m sorry if I said “which” a lot in this, it’s a main word in my vocabulary when talking about this type of stuff.
Off topic of this video entirely but, I’ve seen videos of you putting your dogs on escalators and even dragging Sheila onto one! Please, never let your dogs on escalators, unless they have boots on and can control their tail. Either carry them, or find a safer option. Thank you!
