Only Singapore in this kind of special parade are very very well planned and executed. This does reflect the education, culture, minister after ministers who run the country since the 60’s and the religious tolerance the country had toward its people. Singaporeans are truly blessed to be born and grew up in the land of the blessed

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in this year’s NDP, especially the students who volunteered for the dance performance. However, I feel that Mr. Zaini Tahir, the Movement & Choreography Director, could have addressed the students in a better tone and manner. These students volunteered their time and effort to participate in the 2025 NDP. If they were being fairly compensated monetarily for their contribution, I would have no further comment. But with such a strict tone and high demands, it would be more appropriate to hire full-time professional dancers, with whom such expectations and instructions would be reasonable. Hopefully, for the 2026 NDP, this can be handled properly and better. If you want the best dancers, get professional dancers and don’t waste the students’ time.

Oh wow - I was told malays were generally not allowed to be pilots in SG due to security risk - I'm so glad that was wrong info. things must have changed now-a-days. Happy 60th SG!!

Quite an interesting video showing the preparation, effort, coordination and complications that have to be managed to get it just right on the day. I am curious though, why has CNA not shown the massive tank that lost control and almost ran down a traffic light? Also I remember an incident some years ago when a sky diver had a hard landing and got injured. These incidents could have been shown to add some realism and tension to the documentary.
This was a lost opportunity to show that even the best plans can go awry anytime anywhere. Instead what we got was a sugary sweet documentary where everybody worked together, everything eventually cames together and everyone lived happily ever after. Surely, Singaporeans are mature enough and can accept that unforeseen events do happen (that's why they are called accidents) but that when these happen or almost happen, contingencies click into gear and the show goes on to its successful conclusion. ???
