In the books, Jack Reacher is 6'5" & they get Tom Cruise to play the part, 5'7", it's very reminiscent of Dirk Pitt in the Clive Cussler books, 6'3" & built like a brick shithouse, Matthew McConaughey is 6' & Al Giordino, his sidekick is described as a barrel-chested Italian & is 5'4", Steve Zhan is about the right height but thats where the similarity ends, both this film & Sahara were good enjoyable films but I wish they had stuck to the proper looks & heights of the characters.
