Not a bad racket at all!

Wow, I'd buy that book for $5000, or more in AUD..

I almost expected the professor to say, "after smelling, feeling, seeing the book, to really seal the deal if its the real deal, you have to taste the book" and then he sticks out his tongue and licks the page.

GOOD JOB CBP FOR THE JOB WELL
DONE. GOD BLESS TO ALL OF YOU.

@@monky4535

I felt like the handling of the rare books was poorly done. Just gloves? No mask to prevent spitting on the pages? And they don’t seem to be efficient with their handling. Just opening and closing randomly and flipping pages like it’s a random library book

This comment section probably won’t remember me, but maybe someone scrolling needs this. A few months ago I hit a wall. Nothing made sense. I bought Manifest the Unseen by Luna Rivers after seeing it here on yt. I had no expectations. But chapter by chapter, it broke something open in me. Not motivation — momentum. Wishing that for you too.✨❤

THE BEST PART IS THAT DEA CAN CONTINUE STEALING MONEY FROM TRAVELERS

@@paveladamek3502

European here. The notion that an old book is automatically cultural heritage of the country of origin is ridiculous. It is very common for private individuals to own 16th century books, it is not illegal, you do not have to prove provenance or anything. It is not a piece of a pyramid.

waste of taxpayers money...in most places 10k is like 1-3 months of average house rent. they need to rise the limit to some reasonable number like 100k and focus on real crime...

Should you handle rare books with rubber gloves
ChatGPT said:
No — you generally should not handle rare books with rubber gloves.
Here’s why:

Rubber or latex gloves can make your hands clumsy and more likely to tear fragile pages. They can also leave residues on the paper as they age.
Cotton gloves, which many people think of, are also discouraged
